Benji Laurence
ABOUT THE CHARACTER
Benji Laurence (formerly Cuddrun) is wandering into his fifth year a little more jaded than he has been in previous terms. After a rough summer, the boy is ready to be a little reckless and throw care to the wind. Normally, he is a fairly affable guy who gets along easily with almost anyone. He's an extrovert and a people-person, genuinely interested in those around him. He's also incredibly sarcastic and will often have a nickname for your character ready to go well-before you ever hear him utter it.
Benji is the kind of kid who looks at things from a very practical standpoint - if it makes sense to him, he'll do it. If it doesn't, he won't - unless he's strongarmed into feeling like he doesn't have a choice. He's not a daydreamer or someone who actively visualizes how things can be. Instead, he's a bit of a ruminator. He thinks about things until he's untangled himself completely from them, and moves on with a shrug.
As a younger boy, he was a bit of a rebel and enjoyed causing trouble wherever he went. As he settles into his new family and grapples with things that he's buried for awhile, he's actively moving into a place where he can embrace the best of both worlds. His natural love for adventure and rule-bending, while standing up and learning to be the man his family needs him to be.

I've been actively writing since I was a little kid, and love plotting more than life itself. It feeds me. I live for the moments when a great idea enters the chat and it takes off before I can even wrap my head around it. I am a story-teller before anything else, and I will spend hours, days, weeks and even months plotting, writing and editing before I ever post a single thing.
I am a ~*perfectionist*~, and its my greatest gift and worst enemy.
On a personal level, I live in the Orlando area with my husband and two boys. I am a football mom, much to my own dismay. You'll hear me constantly complaining about it in chat - but take note! I never miss a practice or a game. The things we do for love.
I have two cats, a corgi and more candles than I am ready to grapple with. I am a collector of scents, hence why you'll find this imagery in my writing more often than any other. I am a history buff through and through and have a ridiculous amount of books on Celtic, Gaelic and Norman history. I'm also starting to dabble in African history - wanting to take Julia there eventually with her lessons and practices. I also know enough about American history that its actually annoying. I have hyper-fixations on time-periods and places.
It's the ADHD. I didn't choose this life. It chose me.
I also love baking, eating the things I bake, regretting the things I eat and impulse shopping. I'm actually pretty funny and welcome you into my PMs where we can gab and talk about anything and everything. But if you start talking characters, I'll never shut up.

Alice Ravenstone
ABOUT THE CHARACTER
Alice is the oldest of the Ravenstone sisters; and where Benji is more reckless, she is desperately struggling to hold it together. Her sister was one of the kids who was kidnapped and tortured last term, and Everleigh has never been the same. Life itself had never been the same either.
Usually quite studious, Alice has been spending her waking hours trying to make sure Ever is okay. Her sister is her number one priority, even over school -- which, if you know Alice, is completely unlike her.
Up until now, she had always looked at the adults in her life as the authority figures. However, after the betrayal of the two professors last term, and now the suspicions she has about her own father, she is beginning to see things the way they really are: distorted.
Along with this, she has also noticed her propensity to pick up on people's emotions. She couldn't say if it was a blessing or a curse yet; sometimes it worked wonders when her sister wouldn't speak. Other times? There was just too much noise.
Despite this, she spends most of her spare time in the Hospital Wing (she wants to be a healer), or outside with her nose in a textbook.

I am a coder by nature, though I am currently out of a job. (If anyone has any connections in email marketing, hit me up!) Most of my free time is spent applying for jobs at the moment, though I do sneak in some video game playing sometimes. Maybe more than I should? I don't know.
Anyways, Video Games are my big hobby; I have started and finished Outer Worlds 2 in the past couple of months, re-started and finished Avowed, and now am working on a game called Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. I need to finish Baldur's Gate 3, but I just... can't. Not at the moment. Lol
I love true crime; it feeds my soul. Which just tells you what my soul is made of. *cackles*
No, but I am married to a dude I met way back in high school, but we didn't get together until (rounding up) ten years ago. We have a SEVEN YEAR OLD (!!) who was born on Christmas Day in 2018. She thinks she's almost eighteen though, and asks daily, "Mommy, am I a pre-teen?"
Like, please. Just stop.
Anyways... besides being neurotic as hell, I feel like I'm pretty chill. I can be insanely ADD. I like to code pretty things, but the problem is that I don't have ideas for the pretty things. So if you come to me with ideas (sketches preferably lol), then I can code it.
