Through a large painting of a bowl of fruit, past the ticklish pear, lies a kitchen full of warmth, whimsy, and an endless supply of cauldron cakes. The house-elves here bustle about with cheerful magic, conjuring feasts and delights that make the kitchens feel like a wonderland of sweets and secrets.

A cold and winding labyrinth, the dungeon corridors twist beneath the castle’s foundations. Torchlight flickers against damp stone, and whispers seem to travel farther here. Don't mind the scowling portraits.

At the very heart of Hogwarts lies the Great Hall, grand and timeless. The sky itself seems to rest beneath its enchanted ceiling, while floating candles illuminate glorious feasts below. Here, banners of every house stand tall, and the air hums with the spirit of tradition, unity, and magic.

1921 Opening Feast

The staff room is a sanctuary away from students where Professors and staff can relax between classes. Comfortable sofas, a roaring fire, areas to sit and grade papers and bookshelves full of old class texts are available for reference.

The Infirmary is where the students, faculty, and staff go for medical care while school is in session. Head Healer Blustwick, a larger grandmotherly type, has dedicated ten years of service to the Hogwarts castle, and while a bit grumpy, she is overall a good resource for students to learn from.

Display cabinets line the walls, filled with trophies, statues, cups, plates, shields and medals. A frequent location for detentions. Everyone loves to polish and buff the shiny surfaces of awards from years past.

A vast and dignified hall of books, the Hogwarts library is a grand archive of spellbooks and lore stacked high in orderly rows. It is a place of study and discovery, scented slightly of citrus and parchment, watched over by floating baubles whose discipline extends, on occasion, to a sharp little bite.

The Restricted Section

The prefects’ bathroom is a vast room of white marble, its stained-glass windows casting jewel-toned light across polished floors. At its center lies a massive sunken bath, large enough to swim in, fitted with golden taps that pour every imaginable kind of bubble, foam, and scent. Carved mermaids shimmer along the walls, while lanterns glow softly in the steam, turning the space into a sanctuary of luxury and quiet.

The Room of Requirement is a hidden chamber that transforms itself to meet a witch or wizard’s greatest need. Behind its plain stretch of wall lies endless possibility.

The clock tower rises above the castle’s courtyard, its great pendulum swinging steadily beneath arched stonework. The echo of its chimes carries through the halls, marking time and reminding truants of where they're supposed to be.

The West Tower houses the Owlery, a high, drafty chamber open to the wind and lined with stone perches. The floor is scattered with straw, feathers, and dropped rodent bones, while the air is thick with the rustle and hoot of hundreds of owls.

The Dark Tower is a cold, isolated turret reached by a narrow stair. Inside, the bare stone walls hold iron rings and a trapdoor to the grounds below, long used for confinement and punishment.

Overlooking the beautiful grounds of Hogwarts, the rooftops offer a one-of-a-kind view from all angles. Accessed by a long winding staircase and a hidden door, this special hideaway is only available to those most determined to seek it out.

The Paddock is where all of the magical creatures are located, on the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

The Black Lake is a vast, mysterious, body of water located on the grounds of Hogwarts. Its dark, murky depths are home to a variety of magical creatures, including a giant squid, Merpeople, and Grindylows.

The Boathouse

The Walled Garden is a quiet, private courtyard enclosed by high stone walls and a small moat, crossable by a small stone bridge. Once inside, a network of straight paths, lined with manicured shrubs, fragrant rose bushes and flowers make for a perfect retreat. Small patches of grass, ready for a picnic, are tucked behind the greenery, offering a quiet escape. At the heart of the garden lies an intricate, ever changing hedge maze, a place where many a first-year has gotten hopelessly lost.

The Hedgemaze

The Hogwarts Greenhouses are a series of seven warm, humid glass buildings on the castle grounds where students attend Herbology classes. The air inside is thick with the scent of damp soil and exotic plants, many of which have magical properties and require protective gear to handle. Students learn how to care for and utilize these plants, ranging from common lavender to more dangerous, rare species.

The Whomping Willow is a large, extremely violent tree planted on the Hogwarts grounds. Its branches lash out at anything that gets too close. The willow is a magical guardian, protecting a secret passage at its base that leads to the Shrieking Shack. Many a first year gets tricked into playing the game, ‘Can you touch the trunk?’

The Wooden Bridge begins at one end of the Quad, right at the base of the Clock Tower. At the end of the wooden bridge there is a small stone gazebo with benches where students can relax on a warm spring day. The bridge looks unstable, but has stood strong for hundreds of years.

The forbidden forest sits on the edge of the Hogwarts Ground. It’s a dark densely wooded area, filled with magical beasts and mundane wildlife. Students are forbidden to enter, under pain of detention of death.

The Quad is a smooth, paved stone courtyard on the Hogwarts grounds, located at the base of the Clock Tower. It's a peaceful spot where students often gather to relax between classes. Benches and covered areas offer a place to sit and chat with friends. It's a central and calm space, providing a contrast to the busy castle corridors.

The main castle gate is made of beautiful wrought iron, flanked by two stone columns. Statues of winged boars stand guard, sitting atop the columns watching those that request entry. The gates are opened on the first day of term for students to be taken by Thestral-drawn carriages to the castle.
