Opportunities

* Note: You cannot pass this class on EC alone, you must have made posts in at least one of three lessons before being allowed to supplement the rest of your grade with ECs.

Option 1:

Thread with the professor. This can be for any reason, even those unrelated to charms. In order to obtain full credit, the thread must be complete (3 posts of at least 4 paragraphs containing at least four sentences each). To request such a thread, you can reach out through the letterbox or through PMs/discord DMs.

Option 2:

Help the professor with his chores duties. For this EC you may do a maximum of 2 threads, each worth 5 pts. Students can demonstrate their exemplary charms proficiency by doing their part to tend the grounds. This can include, but is not limited to: clearing leaves from pathways, getting rid of loose trash along the grounds, cleaning moss off the walls of the castle that are less prone to sunlight, etc. Put those wands to good use.

Option 3:

One-shot - Near the end of the term, a one-shot will be opened. Keep an eye out for when this thread will be opened. It will be located here in the Charms classroom and will require your student to prove their competence with the specified spells/materials.

Option 4:

Imagine you're an inventor. Come up with your own spell, giving details on its origins, its uses, incantation, difficulty, level of restriction etc., and a brief review of why you think this could benefit wizardingkind. You can come up with a maximum of two spells.
