The Collegium Medicorum Magicae
APPLICATION OVERVIEW AND TIMELINE
Once a student has completed their education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, or another accredited magical institution, they are eligible to apply for entry into the Collegium.
The Collegium is a highly selective programme that emphasises excellence, magical proficiency, and a demonstrated commitment to healing. Admission is competitive, and places are limited each year.
Applications open annually on October 1st during a student’s seventh year. At this stage, OWL results will be reviewed, and candidates may be granted conditional acceptance based on academic performance, aptitude, and overall suitability for the programme. Applicants will be notified of conditional decisions by January.
Final consideration is granted following the submission of NEWT results, at which time the Collegium will issue unconditional acceptance offers. Successful applicants will be notified no later than the third week of June.
Applicants who are not accepted may re-sit relevant examinations through ministry-approved channels and are welcome to reapply in the following academic year.
Volunteerism and prior experience in healing — particularly structured or supervised work such as within your school's Hospital Wing — will be taken into consideration. Strong preference is given to applicants who can demonstrate sustained engagement and practical exposure, whether gained during or outside of formal schooling.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The initial course of study will run for three (3) years. At the end of the programme, graduated collegium fellows will be considered competent at general healing care. This allows these newly minted healers to open their own private practices, gain employment at St. Mungo's in a generalised manner or pursue specialisation. Without specialisation, the healer is only permitted to treat general cases, offering basic care.
