From your Head of House...
Hello and welcome (back) to Slythern. Many of you will recognize me as the Deputy Head Master and last years Hufflepuff Head of House. There have been some staffing changes, so when the chance to take over my old house came up, I didn't hesitate. It feels good to be back in the dungeon, I hope you also find a home here.

If you need me for any reason, I am here to help. You can find me in my office or in my Applied Magic Classroom.

Now, for what is happening this term.

Classes...
You will find the IC schedule for classes the Academic Calendar thread. There will be three classes offered, with three lessons each, for your character to participate in, if you so choose. The four classes offered will be:

Applied Magic, taught by Professor Gideon Blackwood
Charms, taught by Professor Maddox Barlowe
Defense Against the Dark Arts, taught by Professor Roisin Byrne
Potions, taught by Professor Julia Laurence

Each subject will have three lessons posted throughout term. Each lesson is worth 20 points, and you must have at least 20 points to pass. If you post in all three lessons, you have a chance to earn a spot on our Honour Roll! Please check out the Hogwarts Information thread thread for more information.

Activities...
Unfortunately, Quidditch and Dueling is still banned from school grounds. We do have a selection of extracurriculars you can busy yourself with:

Hospital Wing Volunteers, led by NPC NAME and Ruth Elliot
Library Assistants, led by Julia Laurence
Spellcasters Society, led by Maddox Barlowe
