From your Head of House...
Hello and welcome (back) to Hufflepuff! Some of you may recognize me from the Hospital Wing last term, but let me formally introduce myself. I am Roisin Byrne, and I am your new Head of House! I was a Hufflepuff when I was a student at Hogwarts years ago, so when this spot opened up, I jumped for it!

I spent the past ten years working in Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry as an Auror, but have enjoyed the change of pace at Hogwarts! My door is always open if you need anything, and I keep my office stocked with all sorts of sweets and pastries so help yourself.

The little blond girl running around is my daughter Fiona, she is eight.

Classes...
Please see the Academic Calendar thread for the calendar for this term and to see the full listing of available classes. However, these are the ones we will be hosting three lessons each of:

Applied Magic, taught by Professor Gideon Blackwood
Charms, taught by Maddox Barlowe
Defense Against the Dark Arts, taught by Roisin Byrne
Potions, taught by Julia Laurence

Each subject will have three lessons posted throughout term. Each lesson is worth 20 points, and you must have at least 20 points to pass. If you post in all three lessons, you have a chance to earn a spot on our Honour Roll! Please check out the Hogwarts Information thread for more details.

Activities...
Unfortunately, Quidditch and Duelling is still banned from school grounds. We do have a selection of extracurriculars you can busy yourself with:

Library Assistants, led by Julia Laurence
Spellcasters Society, led by Maddox Barlowe
