Dorms & Loo

Dormitories ![]() Each dorm room has the perfect number of beds for the students in that year, almost as if by magic. The short, rounded ceiling with wood beams and warm, glowing chandeliers gives the room a cozy, den-like feel. Each student has a four poster bed with curtains for privacy and plants lining the top of the bed, making the room feel lush and alive. Large, round windows fill the room with a warm glow throughout the day. Although the dorms are actually below ground, the windows are enchanted to mimic the weather and light from outside, much like the ceiling in the Great Hall. Along the far wall, a line of wardrobes and desks provides space for students to store their belongings and study. ![]() At the end of the hall, a large door opens to the shared bathroom. The spacious, rounded room has sinks on a central dais, a wall of cubbies for toiletries and doors to the showers and water closets lining the walls behind individual doors. Like the rest of the Hufflepuff space, plants sit on every available spot, filling the room with fresh air and life. If any Hufflepuff boys find their way through the door of the girls dorm, they will be met with a floral foe. As they descend the steps, the plants that decorate the hall will decide their fate. Whether it be a wall of ivy, a vine that pulls them by the wrist out of the hall or a pushy fern that pokes them until retreating. Whatever the plant decides, one thing is for sure, they will walk away smelling like their granny's worst floral perfume. |
