Overview

Alice has always been known as an intellectual type, and a people-pleaser. Incredibly polite and buttoned up, the eldest Ravenstone daughter took her role as big sister to Everleigh quite seriously. She’s practical, skeptical, and very organized. She can also be obsessive, insecure, and hesitant. Decision-making is not her favorite, despite being the older of the two girls.

Alice is the eldest of two girls. Her mother is Margery and her father is Thatcher. Her younger sister is Everleigh, and the two are really close.

History

A happy life is what Alice Ravenstone had always known; as the eldest of two girls, she had received all of the attention she could ask for until her baby sister was born. Then, even though they were only a few years apart, she quickly adapted to being the big sister who had to make sure that Ever was always taken care of.

Alice, compared to Everleigh, was meek and mild-mannered. She usually followed in her sister’s shadow, ensuring the girl didn’t get hurt while also cleaning up her messes as if being her guardian had been the reason she existed. It was a stressful job being the calm to Ever’s storm, if she were honest, but someone had to do it and it was better than letting Everleigh get in trouble.

While feeling like she had to make up for the messes Ever made, Alice often found herself attempting to distract their parents when the younger girl did things that got her in trouble. Because of this, she found it even more difficult when she left for Hogwarts before her sister did.

Who would make sure that Everleigh didn’t make big messes? Being away from home, Alice stressed about both school and her little sister. True anxiety developed for the young girl, which caused her to spend quite a bit of time in the Hospital Wing to ingest regular calming potions. That experience made her quite comfortable in the healing environment, and with her (albeit small) experience helping her sister with her scrapes and bruises when they were younger, Alice found that she thrived there. And unlike a lot of her peers, being in that setting didn’t bother her much.

When Everleigh finally joined her at school, Alice felt like she could breathe again. Maybe now she could begin to figure out who she is—without always living in someone else's shadow.
